In the wide world of automotive tuning, there’s something to be said for UK tuner Merdad and its penchant for producing new body kits for a number of Porsche vehicles, the most recent of which was a program for the Porsche Cayenne. Now the tuning firm is at it again with a new program for the Porsche 997 Turbo S. Called the 997 650-R SS, the modification program comes with a number of new body parts, including a new front spoiler, new side skirts, wider wheel arches, a new rear bumper, and a set of new alloy forged lightweight wheels that was created exclusively for Merdad.
Further details behind the new tuning program are limited as of the moment, but you can be sure that these guys spared no expense in building and designing a program that befits their reputation, as well as the stature of all their past works. That being said, we’d love to see what they have done with the Porsche 911 Turbo’s supercharged flat six boxer engine because, well, we’d expect them to get a lot more than the standard 530hp and 516 lb/ft of torque. If the title says anything about the output - which we hope it does - maybe we are looking at 650hp Turbo?
